Glazed Curtain Wall / Storefront Remediation

Glazed Curtain Wall_Storefront Remediation use

As curtain wall systems are non-structural, they are typically designed with extruded aluminum framing most commonly combined with glass, stone veneer, metal panels, louvers, or vents.    A curtain wall system is designed to resist air and water infiltration, as well as sway induced by wind and seismic forces acting on the building.  If improperly installed or maintained, however, air and water can penetrate a failing curtain wall system and can cause significant damage.  Everclear Enterprises, Inc. regularly assists our clients in restoring curtain wall systems to prevent air and water intrusion that could affect structural components of the building – including services such as wet glazing, replacement or reattachment of snap covers and mullions, and unblocking of weep systems.  Additionally, we routinely provide restoration services to enhance the architectural aesthetics of the metal, glass, and stone system components.
